Nebraska pig farmers are donating pigs to Nebraska food banks, through Pork Cares. Loeffel Meat Laboratory at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, East Campus has opened up to process and package 12 donated pigs a week to help meet the growing demand for food banks and food pantries. Nebraska food banks are getting the pork into the hands of those in need.

Pigs for Pork Cares are being donated by Nebraska pig farmers. There are costs for transportation and processing the pork to the food banks and pantries. Donors can contribute here to help cover the costs of the transportation and processing to the food banks.
